About Danique

Meet Danique Kalverda

Danique Kalverda joined our practice in July 2025 as a newly graduated Physical Therapist from the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht in the Netherlands. She brings a fresh perspective and enthusiasm to patient care, combining up-to-date knowledge from her studies with a passion for helping people improve their mobility, strength, and overall well-being. Danique is fluent in Dutch and English and is committed to supporting each patient on their unique journey to recovery.

Danique’s interest in physical therapy began during her youth, when she was actively involved in sports and often faced injuries. Experiencing the impact of rehabilitation firsthand sparked her passion for helping others regain strength and mobility, whether to return to sports or simply to enjoy everyday life to the fullest. She found the idea of guiding people through recovery deeply rewarding and realized early on that this was the profession she wanted to dedicate herself to.

During her studies, Danique had the opportunity to work alongside therapists with a variety of specializations, including manual therapy, sports physiotherapy, pediatric physiotherapy, and oncology rehabilitation. These experiences gave her a broad perspective on the field and a clear understanding of the different ways physical therapy can support patients’ recovery.

Danique chose to pursue her career in Sint Maarten out of curiosity for the local culture and a desire to gain diverse clinical experience. She looks forward to building on her education, learning from colleagues and patients alike, and helping individuals achieve their personal goals.
